今日は1941年 にマレー沖海戦で日本海軍の攻撃機隊がイギリスの戦艦プリンス・オブ・ウェールズを撃沈した日になります。
December 10th 1941, 69 years ago today, the Japanese Imperial navy fleetsunk the British battleship HMS Prince of Wales, and battlecruiser HMS Repulse in a naval engagement on the eastern coasts of Malaya. Thishistoric event is known as "the sinking of Prince Wales and Repulse".
ちなみにHMSとは、大英帝国海軍艦艇の名前につけられるもので、女王陛下の船（Her Majesty's Ship）の略です。
